Ferrari Roma : The Red-Hot Temptation That Will Leave Other Sports Cars in the Dust

Content

After the now-discontinued GTC4Lusso T, the Roma is Ferrari's second front-engine V-8 coupe. It effectively utilises a rear-mounted, eight-speed dual-clutch automated gearbox and a 612 horsepower twin-turbo V-8. Its engine screams all the way to the redline of 7500 rpm. A virtually entirely digital interface is provided for use from the driver's seat in the cabin. The Roma has rear seats, although they are primarily only there for aesthetic purposes rather than real utility. Nevertheless, the inside seems surprisingly roomy. The hundreds of prancing horses in this $250,000 Ferrari will make you feel butterflies in your stomach.

Ferrari introduces a new convertible Spider model along with the Roma's fabric top. According to the carmaker, the droptop only adds 185 pounds to the coupe and can be raised or lowered in 13.5 seconds at up to 37 mph.

Ferrari Roma Engine

The Roma's long hood conceals a 3.9-liter turbocharged V-8 with 612 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque positioned in the centre of the vehicle. It is coupled with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (DCT), which first appeared on the even more luxurious Ferrari SF90 Stradale. This Ferrari can be appreciated both on a leisurely ride and when raced over tight turns. The DCT responds promptly to demands for fast gearchanges, particularly when the driving mode selector is set to Sport or Race. Its high-revving V-8 generates beautiful noises. People liked the directness and accuracy of the helm, despite how easily it turned.

Ferrari Roma Mileage

The Roma isn't fooling anybody into thinking it's going to be very fuel-efficient with its strong engine and sporty pretensions. The coupe has an estimated 17 city mpg and 22 highway mpg.

Ferrari Roma Interior

The Roma's interior combines expensive materials with a distinctive design, stitched together with leather and covered in suede. A sweeping dashboard that flows into the doors and floating centre console envelops each front-seat occupant. The Roma's flat-bottomed, button-heavy steering wheel has a massive 16-inch fully digital gauge cluster that the driver may manage with haptic inputs.

It is a 2+2 coupe with two back seats, and if the front seats are correctly set, the inside is really spacious enough for adults to travel in for short periods of time. The Roma features a larger centre section than the majority of other Ferrari models, but don't anticipate a lot of inside cubby storage.

Infotainment System

The Roma is more of a grand tourer than a dedicated track star, despite sporting the renowned Prancing Horse insignia. It offers more entertainment and connection options to passengers as a consequence than some other Ferrari models. This contains a secondary screen for the front passenger as well as an 8.4-inch touchscreen that is placed vertically.

Ferrari Roma Exterior

The Ferrari Roma is stunningly gorgeous. It is both classic and contemporary, drawing influence from famous Ferrari GTs from the 1960s. Ferrari claims that the front has a "shark nose" look, but what we really like is how understated the grille is at a time when they seem to be becoming bigger and bigger. The characteristic LED daytime running lights on the slim LED headlights give them a floating appearance above the main light assembly. A front mid-engine GT is distinguished by a large, broad bonnet. There are 20-inch alloy wheels along the sides, but little else to break up the straight lines. Beautiful taillight clusters, quad-exit tailpipes and an active rear spoiler that has been incorporated into the rear screen are all present on the back. You might also include some carbon fibre external parts.
