Maybach S Class Review
Ultimate Luxury For A New Era
Mercedes Maybach S Class
It takes a great deal to out-luxe a Mercedes-Benz S-class, but the Mercedes-Maybach S-class of 2022 succeeds. This ultra-luxury sedan is a strong competitor to the Bentley Flying Spur and the Rolls-Royce Ghost, and it comes with a long list of high-end amenities. A V-8 and a V-12 twin-turbo engine are available, and all versions come with all-wheel drive. The extended body is excellent for chauffeuring, especially with the optional reclining and massaging back seats, which invite riders to unwind and live their best lives. While its competitors have more appealing exteriors, the Maybach S-design class's is more subdued, allowing it to blend into traffic without attracting too much attention.
A 496-hp twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine with a 48-volt hybrid system is found under the hood of every S580 sedan. A 621-hp 6.0-liter V-12 is installed in the S680. The V-12 has the same power rating as the 2020 S650 model and does not include a 48-volt hybrid system. The new model comes standard with air suspension and an active noise cancellation technology, which help the car produce a smooth, ultra-quiet ride. The S-class also has rear-wheel steering, which should aid in manoeuvring this large sedan through congested city streets.
Mercedes Maybach S Class Interior
The Maybach S-class features a seven-inch larger wheelbase than the Benz-branded S-class sedan, allowing for even greater legroom within the leather-lined cabin. We couldn't possibly list all of the Maybach's standard features, but they include exquisite leather on virtually every interior surface, a 64-color interior ambient lighting system, heated and ventilated front seats with massage and four-position memory settings, heated rear seats with power adjustments and massage, and an air ionising system with a signature fender flare.
Maybach offers the Executive Rear Seat Plus upgrade, which features rear-seat folding tables, an expanded centre console, extra rear-seat wood trim, and temperature-controlled cup holders for those who want to be escorted. Electrically controlled rear doors, a refrigerator, and Maybach-branded champagne flutes are all available as options.
Is Maybach Mercedes
The Maybach, like the Benz S-class, is equipped with Mercedes' newest MBUX infotainment system, which is presented on a 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen. All models have an augmented-reality navigation system that shows easy-to-follow video directions on both the infotainment display and the car's head-up display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with wireless connectivity are all standard features, as are six USB-C ports, a 30-speaker Burmester sound system, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and a rear-seat entertainment system.
S Class Mercedes
Although the Maybach S 680 shares a structure and other important components with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the external appearance is quite different. Maybach-only features include a stainless steel engine hood trim strip, a distinctive front bumper and radiator grille with carved "Maybach" lettering, lighted seamless door handles, and stainless steel door sill panels. The Mercedes Silver Star symbol stays on the bonnet, while the Maybach writing replaces the Mercedes script above the left taillight. A two-tone paint finish is available, as it was on the S 580 and previous Maybachs. According to Mercedes, there are a total of ten colour options to choose from. This may appear to be a lot, but it pales in comparison to what Bentley and Rolls-Royce have to offer.
The electronically driven back doors, which are operated by the driver and can open and close without anybody touching them, are a particularly intriguing feature. The chauffeur's list of responsibilities has now shrunk by one.
The Maybach S-Class comes with a long list of standard driver-assistance systems; the S-Class is typically the model that receives Mercedes' cutting-edge technology first.
Pedestrian recognition and standard automatic emergency braking
Lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist is standard.
Adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode is standard.
