The 2021 BMW X6 is designed for those looking for a mid-size premium crossover with a sportier look. With the original X6, BMW pioneered the SUV coupé trend, and now it must secure its market share against spin-offs like the Porsche Cayenne Coupe and Mercedes-AMG GLE-class.The X6 range for 2021 has several new basic features, as well as some changes to the option packages. Android Auto is the most significant new feature, which was previously unavailable but is now included as standard. Previous options, such as acoustic glass, glass interior controls, a rear-entertainment unit, and night vision with pedestrian detection, are no longer available.

The M50i has the same transmission and all-wheel drive as the M3, but it boasts a far more powerful twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8. Its 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque allowed it accelerate from zero to 60 mph in only 3.8 seconds. Even more astonishing is the fact that the X6 M has up to 617 horsepower and is even faster. Even so, the basic six-cylinder engine is fast and extremely smooth.

BMW's DNA is built on performance, and this is especially true for a car designed to create a sporty sensation. Even without the top-of-the-line M50i variant, the X6's specs are remarkable.The RWD sDrive model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, while the AWD model takes a tenth of that time. The maximum speed is limited to 130 mph, but with the appropriate tyres and a higher top speed restriction, it may be boosted to 151 mph. The X6 M50i version, on the other hand, is the one to choose if you truly want to go fast. This variant has a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, similar to the X6 M, but with less power.
Standard adaptive dampers and wheel widths ranging from 20 to 22 inches are also available on the X6 40i and M50i. The V-8-powered X6 impressed us with its cornering grip and stopping power throughout the test. Its suspension was stiffer than that of the six-cylinder X6 we examined, but it was never punishing. At highway speeds, particularly liked the adjustable steering heaviness and quiet interior.

The X6's interior is spacious and appealing, however passengers in the back seats might prefer to be in an X5 owing to the sloping roofline is reduced headroom. The BMW X6's exterior is still divisive, with a love-it-or-hate-it appearance that is undoubtedly distinct. The front end is rather standard, with huge kidney grilles surrounded by adaptive LED headlights and LED fog lights, and a standard hood.The car's top offers a panoramic sunroof, and the slope of that roof is complemented by muscular fenders that come standard with 20-inch wheels, with 21s or 22s available as options.
A hatch spoiler, elongated adaptive LED brake lights, a phony diffuser, and a dual-exit exhaust system are visible at the back, along with a modest double roof spoiler. A unique M Sport body package is installed on the M50i variant to provide a bit more aggressiveness.
